The opening of the children's telling
Long ago, in a town called Polaspur, there lived a little prince named Aimutta. He was six years old, and he loved to run and play.
One morning Aimutta saw a gentle monk walking down the street. It was Gautam Swami. Aimutta ran to him. "Please come to my house!" he said. At home he gave the monk sweet ladoos, so many ladoos, because giving made him happy. Then Gautam Swami told him how monks live. They own nothing, and they try never to hurt any living thing. "I want to be a monk too," said Aimutta.
