The opening of the children's telling
Golu the rabbit was fast and clever. "I don't need any help!" he always said. When his friends Chiku the squirrel and Kalu the crow wanted to help him, he said, "No thank you, I can do it myself."
One evening Golu saw some red berries. He ran very fast to get them, and he did not look where he was going. Whoops! He fell down into a deep, dry hole. He was not hurt, but the hole was very deep.
