The opening of the children's telling

Tisha's grandmother, Ba, woke up very early every morning, before the sun came up. She walked to the temple, the derasar, to pray. Then she watched the sky turn pink. "I want to come too!" said Tisha. "You are welcome," said Ba. "I leave very early."

That night Tisha set an alarm. Beep, beep! But she turned it off and went back to sleep. The next night, the same thing happened. Tisha was sad. "I just can't wake up, Ba," she said.
