When a storm floods a poor neighbourhood near their housing society, a boy named Tanmay wants everyone to know how much his family is giving. His grandmother has a quieter way of helping.

What it teaches Daan Humility Kindness

The opening of the children's telling

In Tanmay's city, the rain came down for three whole days. Some houses near his building were full of water. The families there were wet and cold. Their beds and books and blankets were all soaked.

Tanmay wanted to help. He thought and thought, and then he had an idea. He asked all his neighbours for rice, blankets and soap. Soon there were lots of boxes. On every box Tanmay wrote his family's name in big letters, so everyone would know who had helped.
