What it teaches Seeing the good Fairness Humility
The opening of the children's telling
Long ago, in the city of Dwarka, there was a king named Krishna. In heaven, the king of the gods said, Krishna always sees the good in everyone. One god did not believe it. I will go and see, he said.
The god came down and put a poor old dog in the middle of the road, where Krishna would pass. The dog was not alive any more, and it smelled very, very bad. Everyone who came by held their noses and said, oh, go away, that is horrible!
