At a busy market stall in Ahmedabad, eight-year-old Tisha takes a butterfly hair clip while no one is looking. It is the prettiest thing she owns, so why can she not bear to wear it?

What it teaches Non-Stealing Honesty Courage

The opening of the children's telling

Tisha loved hair clips. One evening, at the market with her mother, she saw a beautiful clip shaped like a butterfly. It had shiny blue and green stones.

Tisha had no money. The lady at the stall was busy, and nobody was looking. So Tisha slipped the butterfly into her pocket and walked away.
