The opening of the children's telling

Long ago, in the land of Saurashtra, there lived a prince named Nemi. He was so strong that even his cousin Krishna was amazed. But Nemi was also very gentle. He did not like hunting or fighting. He liked quiet, kind thoughts.

When Nemi grew up, his family wanted him to marry. They asked him again and again, with lots of love, until at last he smiled and said yes. The bride was Princess Rajul of Junagadh, a city at the foot of the holy mountain Girnar. Rajul was wise and kind, and she was very happy.
