The opening of the children's telling

In the south of India there is a very, very tall statue on top of a hill. It is as tall as ten grown-ups standing on each other's shoulders. It shows Bahubali, a great soul who stood still and calm until he became perfectly wise.

Long ago there was a brave general named Chamundaraya. His mother wished to see an image of Bahubali. So they went on a long journey together.
