What it teaches Sharing Daan Friendship

The opening of the children's telling

Jiya lived in Toronto, where it snows a lot. For her birthday, her aunt sent her a big wooden box of colour pencils. There were seventy two colours! Sunny yellow, sky blue, lotus pink and shiny gold.

Jiya took them to school. Her friend Amara asked, "Can I use the gold one, please?" But Jiya shut the box. "No," she said. "They are mine."
