Walk into the Samavasaran

When a Tirthankar teaches, the gods build a Samavasaran: three walls stepping up to Bhagwan at the centre, where gods, people and animals sit together in peace to listen. Here every JainStory story has its place in it.

A 3D Samavasaran: three circular walls with gateways, rows of animals, people, monks and nuns, and Bhagwan under the Ashoka tree at the centre

Laid out as in traditional paintings: the kings' elephants and chariots wait outside, the animals sit in pairs of natural enemies inside the silver wall, men and women inside the gold wall, and monks, nuns and the gods around Bhagwan inside the jewelled wall. Each wall has four gateways. The manastambha pillars come from the Digambar telling. Read more about the Samavasaran, or see all stories.
